Congratulations to Danielle of Chilly Paws! Danielle was the top vote getter from the "It's a Dog's World" post.
Danielle has a love of well-made items - for herself and for her four legged 'babies'. She has miniature dachshunds along with other assorted rescues and her house is full with wagging tails and contented barks. When a job as a Benefit Manager ended a few years ago, Danielle took a bit of time thinking about what she'd like to accomplish next.
With a leap of faith, Danielle took her love of animals, merged it with whimsy and her attention to details, and it led her to making items for pets. She did well at craft shows and dog shows. After a few years, she decided to expand her business so she opened Chilly Paws on Etsy. Her virtual store has grown over the past year and she has a high volume of repeat customers. Snuggle sacks for our 4-legged friends are very popular!
One of the most unusual items that has been requested from Chilly Paws was an eye patch for a female dog that had lost an eye. Danielle was diligent in researching animal eye patches before she tackled the project. The end result was a whimsical eye patch with embroidery and a bit of sparkle. The most important focus, however, was her attention to fit and comfort for the dog. Just take a look at the end result:
If you want something unusual and well made for your pet (or as a gift), visit Chilly Paws to do your shopping. If you don't see it - ask Danielle. Her items are constructed with pet comfort, durability and usability in mind.

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive. ~Gilda Radner
